A Sense of Community
This past weekend, we participated in a benefit ranch roping to help raise money for a local cowboy who was injured badly. Although the wind was fierce, the event was well-attended and folks had a ton of fun roping, socializing, and getting together to rally behind an injured buddy. Folks came from out of state, and many donated gear.
Since my short move out to the Basin and into this traditional buckaroo community, I have been so grateful for the friendship of these folks. It truly is a tight-knit community, and I love how they take care of their own...it's the cowboy way.
